I was born 1960 in Hamburg, I have a daughter and I am married.
After two semesters studying at art collage I changed my education and since then I am working in the social field.
Today I work partly as a painter, partly as a social worker.
My whole life I used to paint with various remedies and since 2004 I paint with oil paint on canvases and wood.
My choice of scene is explained by my proximity to street art and graffiti scene: My perception of the environment
(usually the city) is characterized by the focus on disharmonic (somehow 'inappropriate') compositions and their aesthetics. The path to the final motif of the painting first goes through my perception and the subsequent adherence of these perceptions with a camera. However, most of the time I do not paint complete photographs but put together image content from several photographs that I took.
Photorealism is not my goal but rather an own interpretation of a situation. The focus is on atmosphere, light and colors.
